Spotify Officially in Morocco

2018

November 13

After rap music saw a significant rise in popularity, with millions of listeners across platforms and major artists gaining recognition, Spotify officially launched in the Middle East and North Africa.
It is now available in 13 Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt, and Morocco.
Before this, people could only access it through accounts set up in Europe. Claudius Boller, Spotify’s managing director for the Middle East and Africa, pointed out that the young population and high smartphone use in the region are important reasons for this growth.
